This reduced lithograph was printed in Paris in 1897 as part of the limited-edition publication Les Affiches Etrangeres Illustrees, examining the state of poster art from the 1880s-1890s. (edition of 1050 examples) The original lithograph poster was created in 1896 by Belgian artist Auguste Donnay, (1862-1921) and printed in Liége by lithographer August Bénard.  The poster was originally designed to advertise the Second International Exhibition of Photographic Art hosted by the Association Belge De Photographie at the Musée Moderne (Modern Museum) in Brussels from April 4-15, 1896. The original size of the poster printed in 1896 by Bénard is 31.7 x 47 in. / 80.5 x 119.5 cm. 1.
