Manor D’Ango - Near Dieppe, France., taken during Wood’s 1883 visit to Europe, was published previous to the release of Life and Nature, as a plate photogravure in the periodical Sun & Shade: New York: April, 1889: whole #8: plate V.

 

The Manoir d’Ango (Le Manoir d’Ango) is a Renaissance mansion built in the upper Normandy region of France for shipowner Jean Ango (Jehan Ango: 1480-1551) by Italian architects, craftsmen and artisans between 1530-1544.  1.
