Translated title:  Crib

This well known Kasebier photograph known as The Manger  was taken by her in 1899 and reproduced as a photogravure in Camera Work I  in 1903.

Although the particulars on the printing history of The Manger  is unknown to this site author without additional research, it might be concluded this plate is a very early “first state” hand-pulled photogravure example of the image.
