L’Épreuve Photographique: Deuxième Série: 1905
The plates in this portfolio replicate in size the original photographer’s work, but are often engraved with a white border frame around the image. We have elected to include a partial amount of the main backing support to show off their color in addition to the entire primary backing support (when included) for all photogravure plates in order to give a truer viewing experience of the original portfolio. All plates are top-hinge glued to the primary backing support plate, which in turn are additionally top-hinge glued to the main colored art-paper supports.
