In the state of California’s Marin County, A bucolic dirt road in the town of Corte Madera leads through a timbered landscape. Wikipedia states: The town was named after the Spanish imperative command “chop wood”, as the area was famous for producing redwood tree lumber which was used in the construction of the city of San Francisco. (2024) 

Printed on deckle edged paper with a hand-drawn silver inked border, this is most likely a hand-colored bromoil photograph the artist sometimes labeled as a lithobrome.
