Samuel Robert Brewerton: 1841–1921

An amateur photographer of means who is believed to have been a partner (beginning in 1889) of the England-based Horniman & Co., the largest tea firm in the world by 1890, (1.) S.R. Brewerton is listed in exhibition records as being a member of the Royal Photographic Society from 1888-1893 and a fellow from 1895-1904.

1. Samuel R Brewerton: occupation listed on the 1901 England and Wales Census is “Retired Tea Merchant”.
