CANADIAN VIEWS.
In regard to the group of Canadian pictures which embellishes our issue this week, Mr. Alexander Henderson, the photographer, who is a well-known professional of Montreal and President of the Camera Club in that city, writes to the editor of our magazine as follows.
The views are numbered as indicated in the little diagram which Mr. Henderson sends us, and his titles are given below:
No. 1.—The Wind Mountains, near Caumone, Alberta, Canadian North West. (upper left)
No. 2.—Kamloops, B. C., Junction of North and South Thompson Rivers (lower left)
No. 3. —The Ross Peak Glazier, Selkirk Mountains, B.C. (upper middle)
No, 4.—On Canadian Pacific Railway, Frazer Cañon, B. C. (lower middle)
No. 5.—The ” Three Sisters” Mountains, Caumone, Alberta, (upper right)
No. 6.—The Kananaskis Falls of the Bow River, Alberta. (lower right)
Mr. Henderson writes :
“The little views of which you have had such a nice group prepared for THE Times, were taken while on a journey to the Pacific Coast by the Canada Pacific Railway, in Fall of 1888. I had a series of larger views to take between Winnipeg and Victoria, B. C., and of course often had spare time after finishing the larger negatives, so generally went on an exploring expedition with my ‘Waterbury’ detective, with which these pictures were taken, all being on American stripping films.
