This interior pictorialist study of a woman reading a book backlit by a window may have been taken by an English photographer, as it was purchased for this archive from a dealer based in Warwickshire, England. (Fall, 2012)

Signed on the mount in graphite, the signature of the photographer is fairly indecipherable, but may be Huggins, Higgins or a variation.  What is believed to be the date, possibly 1907 or 1917 is included below the signature.
