An English Farm Scene

An English Farm Scene

Editorial comment for this plate:

AN ENGLISH FARM SCENE.

WE present our readers with this number of THE PHOTOGRAPHIC TIMES, “An English Farm Scene,” by A. R. Dresser, of Springfield, Eng. The picture is from a 3¼ x 4¼ film negative, made in an ordinary hand camera with an exposure of one-fifteenth of a second. The diaphragm used was f/8. Mr. Dresser has made quite a reputation for himself on the other side as an expert instantaneous photographer, and his pictures are not only noted for their pictorial excellence, but are distinguished by the pictorial qualities which they uniformly possess.

The picture we have selected for this number of the magazine is a characteristic English farm scene, and as such will be especially interesting to our American readers.
