The frontis plate for the September, 1894 issue of Wiener Photographische Blätter is a collotype plate engraved with a cartouche inset with three photographs from Vienna photographer Philipp Ritter Von Schoeller’s studio. The plate illustrates the lead text article titled Muster-Ateliers, which goes into great detail regarding Von Schoeller’s studio, including a schematic diagram of its’ layout. In addition to him taking the photographs used in the plate, Von Schoeller himself appears wearing a darkroom apron in bottom photograph.
