EDITORIAL NOTES.

“Becalmed ” is the title of our picture issued as a frontispiece to this number. Mr. Henry R. Taylor has already contributed many excellent pictures for the benefit of our readers, and this one is by no means the least picturesque. The glass-like appearance of the water, the motionless sails, and the drooping flags, all serve to show us that the little vessels are anxiously awaiting a welcome breeze to speed them on their way.
