Adam Frequin: 1883-1939

Dutch photographer.

Adam Frequin started around 1900 as an apprentice photographer at M.M. Couvée, a bookstore in The Hague. He quickly made a name for himself with his special way of lighting, as reported in De Nieuwe Courant on 24-09-1904. Later he became head of the photography department and focused on the photography of interiors and works of art. Eventually he had his own studio at Wilhelminastraat 18 and at Noordeinde 146a, both in The Hague. Adam worked for various clients/art dealers, including the renowned art dealer Katz in Dieren.
