Central Park Spring with Eldorado

Central Park Spring with Eldorado

Born in Gibraltar, the British stage and screen actor and consummate amateur photographer Hamilton Revelle (1872-1958) later specialized in the bromoil-transfer process after mastering other photographic processes.

This Spring landscape study taken in New York City’s Central Park includes a few hints of the Manhattan skyline, including the luxury twin-spired Eldorado apartment building, which opened in 1931, seen just to the left of the blooming tree on the right side of frame.
