The laid-paper, red | salmon colored folio-sized cover is folded to enclose eight pages of letterpress with commentary on the 1891 exhibition by author /photographer Henry Peach Robinson. Twelve individual photographic plates printed by the newly patented Woodbury Gravure process are loosely inserted.

Advertisements as follow are printed on the inside front cover:

The Blackfriars Photographic & Sensitising Co.; The Art Annual For 1891 and The Art Journal Volume for 1891 issued by J.S. Virtue & Co., Ltd.; ‘The New Patent Opaque Glass Measures” invented and manufactured by James J. Hicks of London.

Opposite, on the inside back cover, is a full-page advertisement for the Woodbury Permanent Photographic Printing Co. (included with this online presentation)  Back page of salon folio is blank other than printer credit for Hazell, Watson, & Viney, Ld., London and Aylesbury.
