This is the cover for the December, 1891 issue of The American Amateur Photographer. The woodcut and letterpress design carries a credit for the Boston Photogravure Co. in the extreme lower margin as well as a credit for the artist in the lower left-hand corner, which appears to be the initials RIM. The journal is subtitled:  An illustrated Monthly Magazine Devoted to Amateur Photography in all its Phases & Developments. The three editors for the journal are listed on the cover: F.C. Beach, W.H. Burbank and Catherine Weed Barnes. The American Photo-Publishing Co., located at 361 Broadway in New York City is further given credit on the cover, which carries a price of  $2.00 for a year’s subscription or 20¢ an issue. Pagination for this year-end issue runs from pp. 469-513. There are 22 pages of advertisements in the rear followed by the index for the entire volume III.  (1891)
