Die Kartenspieler | The Card Players

Die Kartenspieler | The Card Players

Two men play a game of cards, perhaps in a pub or tavern.

Max Schneid was an active member of the Vienna Photo Club in the first decade of the 20th Century. In 1906, the Photographische Korrespondenz referred to the artist and this photograph:

“Max Schneid, one of our best amateurs, brought his beautiful card players, which have been reproduced many times and are well known.”  (p. 350)
