Dorothy Tucker, born in August of 1899 on New York’s Staten Island, stands next to a chair wearing a fur-trimmed winter coat. She was a constant photographic subject for her father, a high school physics teacher at Curtis High School on the island who trained his camera on her from birth to late teens.
