This curious head study of a young woman is believed to be from the United States, as it was acquired in 2016 by this archive from a gentleman who believed he had originally collected it at an antiques market in the state of Massachusetts 35 years before.

Resembling a solarized photograph, or perhaps one printed in negative, it would appear to be a combination print of gelatin-silver over a cyanotype. The girls’ head sports a large hair-bow at upper left.
