Handjes Wasschen | Washing Hands

Handjes Wasschen | Washing Hands

Editorial comment for this plate:

With the plate.   (translated)

Miss M. M. de Jonge in the Hague kindly gave us one of her beautiful negatives for reproduction, and we do not know whether she has obliged the numerous subscribers of the Weekblad and us with “Handjes wasschen” (Washing hands).

It is a pleasure to look at this natural scene, which in all its simplicity seems so touchingly innocent.

The recording was made in August with rapid apparatus no. 2, f: 13, on a Lumière plate, exposed for 5 seconds.

Later we hope to reproduce another genre of this illuminating visual artist.
