Lady and Child, also known as Mother and Child — Sunlight,  (Camera Work XIV-1906) won the $150.00 first prize for Eduard Steichen in the Kodak contest in the Class A Open category, featuring negatives 3 ¼ x 4 ¼ or larger in size.

Mounted using Kodak dry mounting tissue on the volume manilla leaf, the photograph is printed on Portrait Velox photographic paper.
