Marshes by the North Sea

Marshes by the North Sea

P.H. Emerson ended his Broadland voyage in August, 1891, mooring his wherry in places known as the “Horsey District” of Great Yarmouth, and later that month at “The Cut”, and “Meadow Dike”- all close to the North Sea.

This final plate shows sheep grazing on the marshes, appearing at the beginning to Chapter XLIII: August on the Broads, p. 263
