A slightly enlarged version of this photograph, with the foreground more blurred and titled as On The Seventeen Mile Drive Near Carmel-By-The-Sea, California was used as a full page halftone in the December, 1925 issue of The Key, (Kappa Kappa Gamma monthly magazine) where it illustrated along with several other Wheeler photographs the fraternity’s annual convention the following year outside Oakland, CA:

“The California chapters together with all Kappa alumnae in this western province unite in inviting every Kappa, young and old, to come to convention in California during the first week of August in 1926.” (p. 415)
