This photograph is a varient of one Annan titled The Burgomaster’s Daughters and exhibited at The Photographic Salon in 1897. The original photograph showed an almost full length view of the two women seated.  The woman seated on the left of the photograph is shown here-cropped and enlarged just below the shoulders.
