Otto Rau: 1856-1834

Dresden 1856 – after 1934, Munich

The heliographer and painter Rau was co-owner of the  plate-making company Meisenbach, Riffarth & Co., which had its headquarters in Berlin and Munich, from 1893 to 1905. From 1891 Rau was a member of the Free Photographic Association in Berlin, and from 1894 to 1900 the Hamburg Amateur Photographers’ Association, which from 1895 was called the Society for the Promotion of Amateur Photography in Hamburg, (and) listed him as a corresponding member.
