Hildegard Lehnert: 1857-1943

From Berlin, the landscape and flower still life painter Hildegard Lehnert was director of the drawing and painting school of the Berlin Artists’ Association from 1909 to 1922. She was a corresponding member of the Hamburg Society for the Promotion of Amateur Photography from 1899 and an external member from 1900 to 1903. (1.)

German painter Hildegard Lehnert was born in 1857 in Berlin, Kingdom of Prussia. She studied painting under Clara Lobedan and Karl Gussow at the Berlin Academy. She continued her studies in Paris with Edmond Yon [fr]. Lehnert exhibited her work at the Woman’s Building at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. -Wikipedia (2024)
