Abendfrieden

Abendfrieden

This pleasing pictorial landscape study of trees reflected in a pond from a gum bichromate print was taken by Leipzig photographer Richard Hoh. A partner in a company ⌘ that manufactured photographic equipment including items used in the darkroom, he was the namesake of the Richard Hoh & Company of Leipzig, Germany. The concern was founded in October, 1899 along with partners August Hermannn and Friedrich August Hahne.

A letterpress halftone in art folio #2 additionally reproduces a photograph with the mis-attribution of Richard Hoch.
