Bried, from the San Francisco Bay area, is described as a mechanical and photographic experimentalist who, in around 1903, joined forces with Wilfred E. Smith, operator for Thors studio and Richard A. Towers, the head printer at Thors in order to form The Towers Company. Based in San Franciso, the firm specialized in producing extremely large photographic murals as long as 30′ in length and 10′ in width. (1.)
