Girlhood

Girlhood

Editorial comments on this plate:

The charming child picture which adorns this number of The Photographic Times is from a negative by G. Waldron Smith, the well-known professional photographer of Boston. The subject is a niece of Miss Fanny Davenport, the famous actress, and is in herself a picture, as any one can see. But Mr. Smith is entitled to great praise for the taste displayed in the simple pose, as well as for the skillful manner in which the subject was lighted and developed.
The reproduction is by the photo-gelatine process of the New York Photo-Gravure Company.
