Editorial comment on this plate:
Our picture this week is from a negative by Mr. D.W. Carter, President of the Worcester Camera Club. It was photographed in the town of Wells, Vt., during a summer vacation, and was a specially difficult subject because of the large butternut tree which overhangs the entire foreground. But Mr. Carter has succeeded in giving us a very pleasing view of a most attractive subject. The negative was made on a Cramer “40” plate and developed with a simple hydro developer. The exposure was one second at about one o’clock on a July day, f/32 stop being employed.
