Although there are Coast Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) present in Kauai’s Koke’e State Park in Hawaii, it might seem more likely this photograph of the trees was taken someplace in California, considering the presence of the Market Street (San Francisco) photograph in the album. In that case, the Muir Woods National Monument, established by U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt in January, 1908 and just north of San Francisco, would be a likely candidate for its location.
