This photogravure, printed by Annan & Sons in Glasgow, was included as the frontispiece to the January, 1897 issue of the British photographic journal The Practical Photographer. (vol. 8, no. 85)
Within the plate marks is engraved a poem by Tennyson:
As tho’ a star in inmost heaven set,
So full, so deep, so slow,
Thought seems to come and go
In thy large eyes, imperial Eleänore.
